Biography
Dr. Maya Libben is an Associate Professor of Psychology and the lead investigator of the PLAN Lab at the University of British Columbia – Okanagan. She is also a registered clinical psychologist (#2167) with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia. Dr. Libben completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta and received her PhD in clinical psychology from McGill University. She completed clinical residencies and practica at a number of major hospitals including the Montreal General Hospital, the Montreal Neurological Institute, the Jewish General Hospital and the Douglas Hospital. Following her PhD, Dr. Libben completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, through the department of psychiatry. She is a Livingston fellow and has been honoured with a number of awards including the Adam Corneel Award and a NARSAD Young Investigator Award.

The PLAN Lab is a CFI-funded laboratory space dedicated to research in the areas of clinical- and neuro-psychology. Research in the PLAN lab is conducted under the supervision of Dr. Maya Libben, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at UBC Okanagan.
Neuropsychological research in the PLAN Lab is conducted in collaboration with the Department of Psychology at Kelowna General Hospital and Dr. Harry Miller in particular. Learn more about our neuropsychological research program.
